Draw DNA: a closer look at this draw

Draw DNA is a simple breakdown of the numbers in this draw: how many are odd or even, how many are low or high, and what they add up to.

Odd 2
Even 3
Low 3
High 2
Sum 128

Low numbers are 1 to 25 and high numbers are 26 to 50. The marker shows where the total sits between the lowest possible total (15) and the highest (240). In our latest 168 draws, 52 (31%) had the same odd/even split as this one, and 51 (30%) had the same low/high split. This describes what happened. It doesn’t say anything about future draws.

About PowerBall

PowerBall is a South African lottery game. You choose 5 main numbers from 1 to 50 and one PowerBall number, and prizes are paid across 9 divisions depending on how many of your numbers match. If nobody wins the jackpot, the money rolls over to the next draw.

This page is a record of results that have already been drawn. We’re an independent site and don’t run the game, sell tickets or take bets.

Common questions

Where can I see the latest PowerBall results?

The latest draw in our archive is at the top of this page, with the winning numbers, the number of winners and the prize amount for each division. For the very latest official result, always check the National Lottery’s own channels.

How many prize divisions does PowerBall have?

PowerBall has 9 prize divisions. Division 1 is the jackpot and needs all five main numbers plus the PowerBall. Division 9 is the lowest and only needs the PowerBall number.

How do I check my PowerBall ticket?

Type the numbers from your ticket into the ticket checker and any that match the draw light up. It runs in your browser and we don’t save your numbers. It’s a quick check, not proof of a prize, so confirm against the official result before you claim.

What does “rollover” mean?

If nobody wins the jackpot in a draw, the jackpot money is carried over to the next draw. That is why a jackpot can grow over several draws.

Where do these results come from?

We record each draw from the results the lottery operator publishes and keep them in our archive. If anything here ever differs from the official result, the official result is correct.

Can past PowerBall results help me pick winning numbers?

No. Draws are random, and every valid combination has exactly the same chance each time. Past results are a record of what happened, not a guide to what happens next.
