Disclaimer
Please read this page to understand what TechChamp is, what it isn’t, and how far you can rely on the information we publish.
The short version
- TechChamp is an independent information site, not the National Lottery or its operator.
- Our results can lag behind the official announcement and may contain errors. The official result always prevails.
- Lottery draws are random. Nothing here predicts a draw or improves your chances of winning.
- This site is for general information. It isn’t financial, legal or gambling advice.
We are independent
TechChamp is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or operated by the South African National Lottery, its licensed operator, the National Lotteries Commission or any other official body. Names of lottery games are used only to identify the games we describe. We don’t sell tickets, accept entries, run draws, confirm wins, check ticket ownership or process claims.
For official information about the lottery, including results, rules, prizes, claim deadlines and how to claim, please use the official channels. The operator’s official website is nationallottery.co.za.
Results: accuracy and timing
We record draw results from the results published by the operator, and we make every reasonable effort to keep them accurate and up to date. However:
- Our archive can lag behind the official announcement, so the newest draw may not appear immediately.
- Our archive may contain mistakes, such as a wrong number, date or prize amount.
- Our archive isn’t complete or official, and may not go back to the first draw of every game.
- Prize amounts, winner counts and other figures may be revised by the operator after publication.
The operator’s own published result is always the one that counts. Please confirm any result, and above all any possible win, with the official channels before you act on it. Never rely on TechChamp to decide whether a ticket has won or whether a prize can be claimed. If you spot an error, please tell us so we can correct it. You can browse the results and use the ticket checker, which runs in your browser and saves nothing.
No predictions, no guarantees
Lottery draws are random and independent. The numbers drawn in the past have no influence on future draws. The statistics, charts and summaries on this site, such as how often numbers have been drawn or how long they have been absent, describe what has already happened. They are published for information and interest only. They are not predictions, forecasts, tips or recommendations, and they don’t improve your chances of winning.
We don’t guarantee, and we don’t suggest, that any number, pattern, system or strategy will win. Any tool on this site that generates or checks numbers is for fun or convenience only. For the real odds of each game, see lottery odds explained.
Not advice
The content on TechChamp is general information. It isn’t financial, legal, tax or medical advice, and it isn’t a professional assessment of gambling behaviour. Budgeting tools, calculators and checklists are simple aids and don’t take your personal situation into account. For advice about your own circumstances, please speak to a suitably qualified professional.
Gambling and responsible play
The National Lottery is for adults aged 18 and over. Playing the lottery carries a financial cost, and most tickets don’t win. Please play for entertainment only, set a budget you’re happy to lose, never chase losses and never borrow to play. See our guide to setting a responsible lottery budget. If gambling is affecting you or someone close to you, free and confidential support is available from the National Responsible Gambling Programme on 0800 006 008 (please double-check the number on their official website). Read our responsible play page
Scams and impersonation
We will never ask you for your ID, bank details, passwords, one-time passwords or a photo of your ticket, and we will never ask you to pay a fee to receive a prize. If someone claiming to be TechChamp asks for any of these, it isn’t us.
Advertising and external links
The site may display advertisements, including ads served by third parties such as Google. We don’t control the content of those ads, and showing an ad isn’t an endorsement of the advertiser or its products. Ads don’t influence our results or our content. Our pages may also link to external websites. We’re not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of those sites. Please read our privacy policy to learn how advertising and cookies are handled.
Limitation of liability
We provide the information on this site “as is”, without any warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TechChamp and the people who run it aren’t liable for any loss or damage, including financial loss, arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site, including decisions made using our results, statistics, guides or tools. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that can’t be excluded or limited by law.
